Every dollar counts and goes directly to students, funding things like:

It costs $5,619 per student to ensure that teachers and students have the resources they need to have a successful school year. BUT, if every student can raise $250 we will meet our goal.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the Latinidad Festival
Congratulations to Julie Germann, Volunteer of the Month!
National Hispanic Heritage Month is from September 15th - October 15th. It celebrates the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South Americas.
This year's theme is Latinos: Driving Prosperity, Power, and Progress in America. It pays tribute to the immense economic and political strides Hispanics have made in the United States. At Sudie we are proud to learn, appreciate and celebrate the rich diversity of our Hispanic and Latino Lions.
This week we highlight two events to celebrate and invite you to participate this Saturday, September 23rd: Sudie Loteria and the 2nd Annual Latinidad Festival in Annette Strauss Square

Meet Your Grade Level Reps
Did you know that each grade has two parent leads who work to enhance communication and build community? Grade Level Reps are volunteer positions that are coordinated through the PTA to organize grade-level events, assist with field trip support, act as a liaison to the grade-level teacher lead, and organize parent volunteers as needed.
They also play a big part in reiterating important, timely info to make sure it isn't overlooked. This year's grade level reps are listed below. You may recognize their names from posting in your grade level GroupMe. If you ever need clarification on any info, they are a great place to start.

August Volunteer of the Month
Congrats to our August volunteer of the month, Julie Germann! She was nominated by three different people for all of her hard work organizing, selling and fulfilling our Sudie Swag.
She received this exclusive Top Banana Award trophy and a special thank you gift from the PTA for dedicating so much time and energy to the school.

Teacher Bins are Here!
Did you Know? Every teacher now has their own bin on campus.
Please deliver or send Secret Pal gifts (which started this week) and gifts for appreciation weeks (first is coming up in October) to the office, and our awesome office staff will get them in the right bin.
Stock the Teacher Lounge!
Last week was the first time that families stocked the lounge at Sudie, and it went great!
There are now plenty of chips, sweets, sodas, and fresh fruit for the staff to fill up on.
Thank you to everyone who is volunteering for this! It is such an awesome way to support the staff.
