If you need to change your student's dismissal/after school transportation, please communicate your change to Ms. Diaz or Ms. Carballos by email, phone or Remind NO LATER than 3:30pm.
This is to ensure that all students receive dismissal directions within an early enough time frame. Please DO NOT text your student dismissal changes as students are NOT allowed to use their cell phones during instructional hours 8:35am-3:55pm.
The National Reflections PTA Program serves to celebrate creative arts in the school community. If you are a multi-talented artist, we would LOVE for you to submit AS MANY entries into AS MANY categories as you’d like!
Come to the Book Fair before or after school before it ends tomorrow!
Students are allowed in the Book Fair before or after school ONLY with an ADULT.
Students may ONLY enter the fair during school with a NOTE from their teacher or an ADULT.
Food Drive - LAST DAY
Sudie’s NJHS is hosting a food drive for the North Texas Food Bank. Be sure to support the NJHS by donating the food cans listed in the graphic. The grade with the most cans wins a WEEK OF FREE DRESS the week after Thanksgiving. Today is the last day to donate!
Grandfriends Day
We are excited to welcome our Grandfriends to Sudie TAG this Friday, November 17!
Our Grandfriends Day events will include a reception with light bites, an introduction to our school by our amazing Principal Ladipo, performances by Sudie cheerleaders, orchestra, and modern band, student-led school tours, Book Fair, Sudie Swag, and more! Special thanks to Central Market for its generous donation of delicious treats for our reception.
Please review the important information on parking, check-in, and other day-of details before your arrival. If Grandfriends are visiting multiple students in both elementary and middle school, they are permitted to attend only the morning or only the afternoon event, and all of their students may join them at the selected time. We look forward to having our Grandfriends on campus!
We are grateful for all of our staff: Celebrate w/ Sudie Staff Shout Outs
Do your kids come home and say something sweet about one of the teachers or faculty members at Sudie and you think...that was so nice, I should tell them that! Well...here is your chance!
The school admin team would like to recognize outstanding staff members, and they need our help.
Use this form to recognize a Sudie Staff member who is going above and beyond this week.
October Volunteer of the Month!
Not having a meeting in November wasn't going to stop us from recognizing a Volunteer of the Month for October!
Congratulations to Kate Wiseheart - our PTA October Volunteer of the Month. Kate has worked many long hours creating a wide variety of creative materials to support our school.
From the designs and videos promoting North Texas Giving Day to the amazing new recruiting pamphlet, Kate always steps up when needed and the end results are spectacular. Thank you, Kate!
We are GRATEFUL for you!
THANK YOU to everyone for getting us so close to our 500 member goal – just 60 people short! As your reward, we are NOT going to have a contest or tell you time is running out! What we are going to do is THANK YOU for signing up! THANK YOU for reading these emails! THANK YOU for supporting our school with this simple act!
And if you haven't yet, maybe consider doing it today? It doesn't take long.
1. Log into your Membership Toolkit account.
2. Go to this page to join. Just because you have an account doesn't mean you're a member. Email amyjdicarlo@gmail.com if you're not sure if you've joined this year.
If you were a member last year and haven’t yet signed up, look for an email soon asking you to join this year. 500 PTA members was a big stretch for a school of 442 kids but we still think we can get there.
Anti-Bullying Week
Tomorrow is the last day of Anti-Bullying Week. See below for the theme with Jeans.
Sudie TAG Theater Co Presents
It’s five days before the premiere...and high school drama director, Chris, has actors who are still on script, cast members absent from rehearsal, a sick stage manager, an unbuilt set and only twelve dollars left in the budget. Oh, and the principal is bringing the superintendent on opening night to see if funding for the drama program for the district should be cut. It’s a director’s nightmare..."
Come see the Theater III students perform "Director's Nightmare"
