SUDIE SPORTS NEWS
Sudie Sports 2.0
The Sudie Sports Committee was started in Fall 2021 by a group of parents looking to create opportunities for Sudie students to meet new friends, develop teamwork skills and learn different sports. The response has been overwhelming! Hundreds of Sudie students have participated in soccer, volleyball, flag football and basketball teams at the Semones YMCA, the White Rock YMCA and the SVAA, and parents have started clubs in lacrosse, track & field, tennis, golf and climbing.
We are excited to announce that Ms. Cambria Hammond will be assisting with Sudie Sports as we move to Sudie Sports 2.0. If you would like to be part of this initiative, please join the Sudie Sports Committee at its next meeting on Monday, January 22 at 7 pm via Zoom. Please email Ms. Hammond at cahammond@dallasisd.org or Brandy Treadway at brandytreadway@yahoo.com to receive the invite.
After School Karate
There is still time to sign your scholar up! The Trial Class for Karate has been postponed to Next Tuesday, Jan 23 from 4-5pm.
Please review the flyer and links thoroughly as they contain registration/tuition fees, important dates and information.
*Scholarships available through Sudie Sports* Please contact Mrs. Hammond to work out scholarship options at cahammond@dallasisd.org
The YMCA Presents - Athletes in Training (AIT)
AIT offers coaching in flexibility, coordination, and agility to children (8-12 years old) starting January 2024. The program is focused on enhancing performance and designed with aspiring athlete in mind.
Attention 5th-7th grade parents! It’s that time of year when your scholar will be deciding which electives they would prefer for 24-25! These are preferences and not guaranteed, but Counselor Brown always tries her best to ensure that your scholar receives at least one of their 1st choices.
These are due back Monday 22nd. No need to scan and email as this is NOT a first come first serve basis.

PASSIVE FUNDRAISING
LET’S TAKE ADVANTAGE OF FREE MONEY!!!
Please take the easy steps to set up these passive fundraising opportunities and earn money the lazy way all year long!
Greenworks Recycling
PLEASE DON’T THROW AWAY CLOTHES AND TEXTILES! Drop them off in the bin by the school playground during carpool!!
Sudie and Clothes Bin have partnered to collect and recycle old clothing, shoes and textiles.
Keep these items OUT of landfills AND raise money for Sudie – at 8 cents a pound it’s a WIN-WIN!
Start planning for your kids to lose stuff before they actually do. Order labels to put on their most prized items so they don't end up in the sea of lost and found!
When you order from Mabel's Labels, Sudie earns 20% from each order!
Set your supporting organization to: Sudie Tag PTA
Shop
You never have to think about it again and Sudie earns $$$ when you shop. Please sign up today (ask the extended family to do it, too!)
