April 22 - 26 is office staff and TA appreciation week!
We'll be taking them goodies Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Throughout the week (and leading up to it), we'll be collecting things to add to a basket to give to each of them on Friday, April 26.

Sudie Movie Night
Bring a chair or a blanket and join us on the blacktop for Family Movie Night on April 26. The Mitchells v. The Machines, a funny and heartwarming film, is a favorite among kids and parents alike, and we can't wait to watch it with you and our incoming Sudie families. We'll have door prizes and giveaways, too. You don't want to miss this!

Sudie Capstone Trips
Capstone Field Trips are on the horizon for grades 4th - 7th!
We are calling all Sudie parents who would like to parent chaperone a capstone trip. Capstone field trips are much longer than the normal field trip. We highly encourage all parents who are interested to review the start and end times provided in Principal Ladipo's letter sent out Thursday, April 4th.

STAAR Test - April 23 & 24
On Tuesday, April 23rd, 4th - 7th grade students will take the Mathematics STAAR test. On Wednesday, April 24th, 8th grade students will take the Algebra 1 STAAR test.
Student testing attire may be sweatpants/comfortable pants with Sudie swag OR Sudie uniform. NO pajama pants/shorts. Blankets are allowed, NO pillows or stuffed animals.
To ensure our campus remains a secure testing site, visitors will not be allowed on campus.

High School Signing Day
On Thursday, April 25th all 8th grade students will walk the Sudie stage proudly declaring where they will attend for high school!

The Texas Department of State Health Services has updated its school exclusion criteria to align the requirement for COVID-19 with those for other respiratory viruses like flu.
Students now only need to be excluded from school until they have been fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
Free Dress Fridays
Every Friday (& only on Fridays) Free Dress day passes are sold outside the cafeteria and/or front foyer only in the morning. The passes are $2 each - CASH ONLY.
Students are only allowed to wear free dress on the Friday when their pass is purchased. No ripped jeans are allowed & please ensure all free dress is appropriate. All proceeds go to student enrichment activities!
If you need to change your student's dismissal/after school transportation, please communicate your change to Ms. Diaz or Ms. Carballos by email, phone or Remind NO LATER than 3:30pm.
This is to ensure that all students receive dismissal directions within an early enough time frame. Please DO NOT text your student dismissal changes as students are NOT allowed to use their cell phones during instructional hours 8:35am-3:55pm.

Fundraising Request Form
If you are interested in scheduling a fundraiser for a Sudie club or grade level please fill out the below form.
The principal is responsible for collecting, controlling, disbursing, and accounting for all school activity funds.
The Board of Control (BOC) meets once a month (last Friday). All fundraiser requests must be submitted to Ms. Anyssa Diaz (in the google form) by noon on the last Friday.
