Sudie Movie Night - Tomorrow

Bring a chair or a blanket and join us on the blacktop at Sudie for Family Movie Night on April 26.  The Mitchells v. The Machines, a funny and heartwarming film, is a favorite among kids and parents alike, and we can't wait to watch it with you and our incoming Sudie families.  We'll have door prizes and giveaways, too.  You don't want to miss this!

PTO Auction Update

With a great array of donated items, we are confident it will be the best fundraising event yet. We will continue taking donations until the end of the week and specifically, looking for PARTIES 🎉🎉🎉! We ask that all grades provide options to ensure our connections remain throughout the Summer. 


  • Ticket prices go up on April 29th@ 8am to $75. 
  • With only a handful of tickets remaining, get your tickets locked in today SudieDads.comAs opposed to previous years, we don’t expect to have tickets remaining for walk-ins. 



  • We will be providing FAQs and a Sneak Peek of auction items throughout this week to help you prepare for the biggest party of the year!

Sudie Spring Orchestra

Make plans to attend Sudie's Spring Orchestra concert on Wednesday, May 1st in the Sudie Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30pm. The concert begins at 7pm and will be finished by 8pm.


Students who are performing in the concert should plan to arrive at Sudie at 6:30pm for tuning and setup in the cafeteria.

Due to the forecasted rainy weather on Friday (4/26), we have moved the capstone trip to Tuesday, April 30th. The time, location & transportation will remain the same.

High School Signing Day

TODAY all 8th grade students walked the Sudie stage proudly declaring where they will attend for high school!

Sudie's Middle School Chess Team competed in the District Championship last Saturday. 

🏆 20 Sudie players played, and ALL 20 Sudie players earned medals! 

🏆 Sudie Chess also earned the most total medals and the most GOLD medals of all schools!

Elementary Debate Team Results

Congratulations to the Sudie Elementary Debate Team!  


At their recent DISD tournament the 5th Grade Debate placed 2nd place overall out of 35 teams!


Individual Awards:

  • Rose Brantley and Faye Hency received silver medals for being top speakers.
  • Aria Agyei, Ezra Detzel, and Sofia Martinez received gold medals for being top speakers.
  • Gardner Fedro received a gold medal, placing 8th overall speaker out of more than 100.
  • Richard Haayen received a gold medal, placing 5th overall speaker out of more than 100.
  • Henry Quinn won "Most Valuable Debater" from Sudie and received a gavel.


Thank you to Mrs. (Rathbun) Pantalion!  As a first time debate sponsor, she led this team to place in the top three at both debate tournaments this year - 3rd in the Fall and 2nd in the Spring!! 

Sudie Track & Field is Championships Bound

The Sudie Runs Track & Field Team will be competing in the Dallas ISD Championships this Saturday, April 27th at Loos Stadium! Please come out and join us and cheer on your Sudie Track Team! 8am-2pm.

Updated COVID-19 Guidance

The Texas Department of State Health Services has updated its school exclusion criteria to align the requirement for COVID-19 with those for other respiratory viruses like flu. 

Students now only need to be excluded from school until they have been fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.  

Free Dress Fridays

Every Friday (& only on Fridays) Free Dress day passes are sold outside the cafeteria and/or front foyer only in the morning. The passes are $2 each - CASH ONLY.


Students are only allowed to wear free dress on the Friday when their pass is purchased. No ripped jeans are allowed & please ensure all free dress is appropriate. All proceeds go to student enrichment activities!

Dismissal Changes

If you need to change your student's dismissal/after school transportation, please communicate your change to Ms. Diaz or Ms. Carballos by email, phone or Remind NO LATER than 3:30pm. 

This is to ensure that all students receive dismissal directions within an early enough time frame. Please DO NOT text your student dismissal changes as students are NOT allowed to use their cell phones during instructional hours 8:35am-3:55pm.

Fundraising Request Form

If you are interested in scheduling a fundraiser for a Sudie club or grade level please fill out the below form.


The principal is responsible for collecting, controlling, disbursing, and accounting for all school activity funds.  


The Board of Control (BOC) meets once a month (last Friday). All fundraiser requests must be submitted to Ms. Anyssa Diaz (in the google form) by noon on the last Friday.
