PTA General Meeting Tonight - 6:30PM
Join us TONIGHT for our final PTA meeting on zoom! We will be voting on the proposed 2024-2025 budget and announcements to finish out the year and prepare for the next!
PTA will be sharing information on purchasing school supplies from EduKit for 2024-2025.
In August, Sudie PTA will be sponsoring our Used Uniform Sale. Start gathering up the clothing your child has outgrown. Bins have been placed in front of the school to collect!

Join us for our May session of Coffee with the Principal on May 10th at 9AM! Ms. Amy Garnica, our campus Media Specialist and favorite Librarian, will be joining! Be sure to use the link below to enter the zoom presentation.

The Machines, a funny and heartwarming film, is a favorite among kids and parents alike, and we can't wait to watch it with you and our incoming Sudie families. Admin Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week ends tomorrow! Encourage your child to write a note of appreciation for each of their (many) teachers- sharing a funny moment from the school year, a favorite activity their teacher prepared, a time their teacher cheered them up, or just a simple thank you for being awesome- put it in a card or torn out binder paper, compose it as a poem or displayed in a piece of artwork! The possibilities are endless!
The PTA is so excited to show some extra love to our fabulous teachers. Thank you for clearing out our wishlist- thanks to you, all teachers will receive a $25 Amazon gift card along with a bag filled with gold goodies because “Our teachers take the gold!” And of course, any extra gestures of appreciation your family would like to bestow are always welcome. 5TH GRADE NEWS
5th Grade Bridging
5th Grade Parents,
You’re invited to join us for the very special occasion of the 5th Grade Bridging! This event marks a significant milestone in our students’ lives as they transition from elementary to middle school. The bridging event will take place on Friday, May 24th at 9:00am in the Sudie Auditorium.
The Bridging Ceremony will include a series of presentations and performances by our students, reflecting on their achievements and memorable moments from their time in elementary school. It will be a moment to celebrate their growth, both academically and personally, as they prepare for the exciting challenges of middle school.
Each 5th grade student will be provided two tickets maximum on Monday, May 13th. Please ensure you present your tickets at the front entrance so that you can enter the bridging event. We hope to see you there to cheer on our 5th graders as they bridge to middle school!

As we commemorate this significant milestone in your students' lives, we ask you to join us in applauding their hard work and achievements. Your support and encouragement have been invaluable to their growth and success.
Each 8th grade student will be given four formal invitations on Monday, May 13th but can request more in the main office. You must present your invitation at the high school in order to enter the event. All 8th grade students must arrive no later than 6pm. Thank you for playing such an important role in their journey. We look forward to celebrating with you soon!

Thank you for all the support in making PTO’s "Sudie Possible" a tremendous success! We have currently raised $72,000 and can reach our goal of $75,000 with the purchases of the remaining marquees and parties.

Dress Code Update for 24-25 School Year
Updated COVID-19 Guidance
The Texas Department of State Health Services has updated its school exclusion criteria to align the requirement for COVID-19 with those for other respiratory viruses like flu.
Students now only need to be excluded from school until they have been fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
Dismissal Changes
If you need to change your student's dismissal/after school transportation, please communicate your change to Ms. Diaz or Ms. Carballos by email, phone or Remind NO LATER than 3:30pm.
This is to ensure that all students receive dismissal directions within an early enough time frame. Please DO NOT text your student dismissal changes as students are NOT allowed to use their cell phones during instructional hours 8:35am-3:55pm.

Fundraising Request Form
If you are interested in scheduling a fundraiser for a Sudie club or grade level please fill out the below form.
The principal is responsible for collecting, controlling, disbursing, and accounting for all school activity funds.
The Board of Control (BOC) meets once a month (last Friday). All fundraiser requests must be submitted to Ms. Anyssa Diaz (in the google form) by noon on the last Friday.
