We continue to roar into the 2025-2026 school year at Sudie! This week, we’ve enjoyed getting to see students shine at picture day. We were also able to engage students in discussing their beginning of year diagnostic results from their I-Ready assessment. We encourage you to talk to your students about their results, their growth goals, and the actions they will take to reach these goals between now and the middle and end of the year.
We have also been able to welcome new Sudie staff to campus this week. I am very excited to announce that our new campus monitor is Mr. Jerry Daniels. He has had a successful career as a highway trooper and as part of other law enforcement agencies. While he is highly skilled in safety operations, he also brings to our campus a passion for mentorship. I am excited that he is part of our team and looking forward to seeing the impact he has at Sudie.
Finally, I am honored to announce that our new Assistant Principal is Ms. Farrah De La Croix. Ms. De La Croix comes to Sudie with extensive school leadership experience, and our team was highly impressed with her professionalism and knowledge during the interview process. Having graduated from Townview TAG and served at magnet campuses in Dallas and Austin, she possesses a great ability to empathize and serve the students we support at Sudie. Additionally, Ms. De La Croix is a talented photographer and a connoisseur of the arts, and these passions will connect with our vision to grow gifted leaders, one talent at a time. I know that she is looking forward to connecting with our community if you have any questions, need support or just want to say hello please reach out at fdelacroix@dallasisd.org.
Thank you for your support of your student, our staff and the Sudie community!
There’s No Place Like Sudie: Lions Leading with Brains, Heart and Courage
Farrah De La Croix is excited to serve the students and families of Sudie L. Williams. She brings extensive experience in K–12 leadership across several Texas school districts, with a strong commitment to student-centered practices. Over the course of her educational career, she has served as an interim principal, magnet director, assistant principal, high school science instructional coordinator, and campus improvement specialist, leading initiatives in advanced academics, special populations, and school improvement. As a teacher, she co-piloted the first Pre-AP program at Greiner Exploratory Arts Academy in Dallas ISD, served as a science team lead, and taught Pre-AP 7th and 8th-grade science.
Before entering education, Ms. De La Croix was a licensed Texas real estate agent while still in high school, and later earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Texas at Dallas. In 2011, she transitioned fully from the family business of real estate to focus on improving student outcomes through school leadership. She is currently completing her doctoral studies in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Southern Methodist University.
