We are just a day away from North Texas Giving Day! We are grateful for the momentum our PTA has generated so far this month and are hopeful that they will reach or exceed their goal of $75,000 by the end of Thursday, September 18th. I have said it at least a hundred times this school year, but there truly is no place like Sudie, and a large part of that is due to the investment and support of our amazing parent and community organizations. Through the support of our PTA, we are able to accomplish so much as a school community:
Donating over $3,000 to the Kerr County Relief fund to honor those impacted by the Hill Country flooding and our community's connection to Camp Mystic.
Providing extensive extracurricular opportunities for our Sudie students to explore their passions, including Sudie sports (our 4th grade boys soccer team is undefeated), helping Chess accomplish their goal to go to Nationals, supporting Sudie cheer, and making possible our award-winning TMSCA & Aerial drone teams.
Connecting our community through family-friendly events like Movie Night, Around the World the Sudie Way and Grandfriends day.
Boosting morale to ensure we retain our super faculty and staff by providing funding for professional development, contributing to 10 days of Holiday cheer and celebrating the hard work of all staff members throughout the year.
Partnering with other DISD campuses to support the learning of our community members with TAG talks
Making it possible for our enrichment and capstone field trips for each grade level!
The events and programs on this list help us work towards our mission of providing a superior education for unique learners that develops leadership, impacts the community, and empowers, equips and elevates the lives of all students. I am grateful for the partnership of our PTA and your support of our Lion Pride this North Texas Giving Day. There are still lots of ways you can contribute:

WE appreciate YOU! We want our donors to know that we appreciate and count on ALL donations! A donation of ANY amount qualifies for grade-level participation purposes. Our 4th-grade Sudie Lions are still in the lead for the pizza party, and time is short—check out the updated grade-level participation tracker on the Sudie PTA website! The PTA website also contains information about Lion Pride supporter yard signs and recognition of our Lions Circle and matching donors. A HUGE thank you to ALL our donors!

Cafeteria & Custodial Staff will be celebrated September 29th - October 3rd. You are welcome to drop off thank you notes, gifts, or tokens of appreciation to the main office through this Friday, October 3rd.

Join the Dallas ISD District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC)!
Dallas ISD is now accepting applications for new DPAC parent leaders! DPAC members meet monthly with district staff to share parent perspectives, connect with resources, and help shape initiatives that support student success. This is a great opportunity to grow as a leader, collaborate with other parents, and make your voice heard.
SMU Athletics invites our Sudie Williams families to enjoy free admission to all Men’s and Women’s Soccer home games this season!
Bring the whole family to cheer on the Mustangs, enjoy the Kids Zone, and grab a bite from food trucks like Mi Cocina and Kona Ice. Parking is also free in the garage north of the stadium.
It’s a fun (and free!) way to spend time together as a family this season!
Secret Pal Needs YOU!
We love our wonderful teachers and staff at Sudie! Please help us show our appreciation by volunteering to be a Secret Pal. Secret Pals are asked to drop a little gift ($20-$40) for their paired staff member during a designated week each month from October to May. Do you have a busy schedule? Work all day? You can even have your child deliver it to the office at the beginning of school. Thank you!
