SUBJECT: Sudie TAG PTA Weekly eNews: October 29, 2025
* Don't forget to join in the fun this Saturday, Nov 1 @ Sudie Lotería!* * After enjoying today's Sudie Supper - make plans to join us next week at participating Cane's for November's Sudie Supper *
It’s hard to believe we’re already welcoming the month of November! This time of year always brings excitement and opportunity—especially as Dallas ISD’s Choice and Magnet School applications officially open on November 1st. We’re thrilled to meet so many families who are eager to learn what makes Sudie TAG such a special place to learn and grow.
We’ve had the opportunity to host two Open Houses this semester so far! Thanks to the hard work and vision of our Magnet Coordinator, Ms. Carballos, and the support of our staff, student and parent volunteers, we’ve been able to show why every day is a Super day at Sudie!
This Saturday, we get to show our Lion Pride at Discover Dallas ISD from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., where we’ll get to connect with families across the city and show them why There’s No Place Like Sudie! Then, on Saturday afternoon, we get to gather as a community for a fun-filled Sudie Lotería event from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm.. I’m looking forward to seeing so many of our families come together for a bit of friendly competition and to celebrate our 8th graders!
Our Counselor, Ms. Brown, has also been working hard to ensure our 8th graders are prepared to choose their best-fit high school! We have had a semester filled with high school presentations that have opened our 7th- and 8th-graders' eyes to the many opportunities available to them! If your family is interested in learning about Dallas ISD choice and magnet high schools, Ms. Brown’s high school night recordings can be found on her website HERE.
We hope you are able to join us at Sudie this Thursday, October 30th, for our Fall Arts Festival, including the dedication of Mr. Powers' bench. I’m excited to see all the student performances and grateful for the hard work of all involved.
Looking ahead, mark your calendars for Saturday, November 8th, when Dallas ISD will host the Region IV Fam Jam. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to learn more about the many resources and programs available across our district.
