DISD Calendars

Hello Sudie Families!

I hope everyone enjoyed their time on Tuesday, November 4th! This month will be filled with opportunities for connection and gratitude!

The 3rd annual Sudie Food Drive benefiting the North Texas Food Bank will start early this year. With the ongoing government shutdown, SNAP benefits have been heavily impacted. This will put a huge strain on the food bank as they try to meet the increased demand. In an effort to combat this food insecurity, the honor society's goal is to make weekly food donations in the month of November, as well as a one-time monetary contribution the Friday before Thanksgiving. To raise the money, we will be bringing back coin wars, but this time by grade level! The grade level with the highest contribution of cans and coins will win a week of free dress when we return from Thanksgiving Break. Collection begins on Monday, November 3rd. Together we CAN give back!

This Friday, we will also have our November Coffee with the Principal. During this time, Counselor Brown will review the Dallas ISD Choice and Magnet Application process for any 8th-grade families wanting more information.

Thank you for your support of our students, staff and Sudie!
