Hello Sudie Families!

November has been a month of gratitude and connection here at Sudie TAG! As we prepare for the Thanksgiving break, I want to express my sincere thanks to every member of the Sudie community — our dedicated parents, our superb students, and our wonderful staff. I am deeply grateful for the way this community has welcomed me and partnered with me to sustain the legacy of excellence that defines Sudie TAG.

The endless hours our families and staff invest in supporting our students do not go unnoticed. I appreciate each of you for choosing to share your time, talents, and gifts with Sudie. Every day, I am thankful for our staff members who work tirelessly to grow gifted leaders one talent at a time. Each interaction with our students fills me with gratitude and hope for the bright future they will create and lead.

This week, we had several exciting events on campus that truly captured the heart of Sudie. From our engaging Literacy & STEM Night to the successful Read-a-Thon and Book Fair, and the dedication of the Legacy Gift from the Class of 2025, I am also so proud of the contributions of each grade level to our 3rd annual canned food drive - as of this past Friday, we have collected 3,000 cans, and more donations are coming in everyday this week! It has been wonderful to see our students and families come together for moments of connection and celebration.

As we head into the Thanksgiving holiday, I hope each of our families enjoys a well-deserved break filled with family, fun, and relaxation.

When we return in December, our focus will shift to wrapping up the first semester. Below is information about middle of year and end of semester testing:

MoY Diagnostic Testing: Algebra 1 students will take MyPath math in their Algebra 1 class on Monday, December 1st, and Tuesday, December 2nd. On Wednesday, December 3rd, all students will take I-Ready reading, and then they will complete I-Ready math on Thursday, December 4th. We are excited to see our students hit their growth goals!

ACP and SMC Testing: The week of December 15th through the 19th, students will take ACP exams in their electives, science and social studies courses, and Standard Mastery Checks in their reading and math courses. Friday, December 19th, will be an early release day - once Dallas ISD confirms the early release schedule, we will share that information.

Thank you again for your continued support, enthusiasm, and commitment to our students’ success. I am proud to be part of this extraordinary community and look forward to finishing the semester strong — together.

If grandfriends are visiting multiple students in both elementary and middle school, they are permitted to attend only the morning or only the afternoon event, and all of their students may join them at the selected time.

We need our parents’ help to make Grandfriends’ Day a success! There are still a few available parent volunteer slots to assist with check-in, refreshments, manning the photobooth and Sudie Swag pop-up store, and other tasks. Sign up here!
