I hope everyone had a wonderful MLK Jr. holiday weekend! The weekend started off strong for our 4th-grade Lions! We had a wonderful time during the Austin Capstone trip! Our students were inquisitive and engaged as they learned about our state's history at the Texas State Cemetery (an amazing experience, if you haven’t had a chance to take a tour) and at the Bullock Museum. This trip also showed how the support of our community makes Sudie such a special place! I ended Friday evening feeling endlessly grateful for the hard work of our fourth-grade teachers and Ms. Diaz in planning the trip, the dedication of our parent chaperones, the families who donated snacks, our PTA for paying for admission to the Bullock museum, and our PTO for providing the charter buses. Thank you all for supporting Sudie to ensure we can create memorable moments for each student!
I would also like to take time to thank our PTA and PTO for donating twelve new desktops to support our middle school gaming and coding classes! We are so excited to have a second computer lab now on campus and to see our students engage in coding in order to create computer games!
This Friday, we are excited to host our Middle School dance and see our students shine under the Northern Lights! As a reminder, next week is Parent Conference week, and we will be hosting our campus-wide parent conference night on Tuesday, January 27th, from 4:45 pm to 8:00 pm (last walk-in time will be 7:30 pm). If you would like to schedule a specific time either on Tuesday evening or throughout the remainder of the week, please use this link to schedule a conference with your students’ teachers. We are also looking forward to next week’s TAG Talk with Dr. Rebecca Winthrop, it is sure to be an enlightening evening!
Finally, thank you to all those who took time to provide input to the district regarding next year's school hours. Once the district has made the final decision, that information will be shared with our community.
Thank you for your support of your student and Sudie!
You won't want to miss this incredible afternoon on February 28 from 3:30 - 6:00 pm. It will be filled with live performances, traditional foods, arts, crafts, and more, showcasing all the vibrant cultures that are a part of our Sudie Fam!
We need your help to make this a fun and meaningful event!
The Free Dress Season Pass Fundraiser is closed. Students who purchased a season pass will receive them Thursday, January 22nd. Students who did not purchase a season pass will still be able to purchase a free dress pass on participating Fridays for $2 CASH ONLY.
