February continues to be a full month of achievement and growth here at Sudie! Below are some of the reasons this month has been a super month at Sudie:
We celebrated our super support staff the first week of February!
Coach Bruant facilitated our first time participating in the American Heart Challenge. We had 197 students who participated, 27 students completed Finn’s Mission, and $5750 dollars were raised to support the important work of the American Heart Association!
Our school was overflowing with love during our Valentine’s Day pop up parties!
We got to see the amazing art work of our elementary students during the Art Walk going on during our SBDM and PTA meetings
The spirit of kindness filled our school during Random Acts of Kindness week!
One of our fabulous fourth graders Namaan Starr won the 2026 Black History Month Essay Contest Winner sponsored by The Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center (NAEC)
Four of our Destination Imagination teams will be competing at the Regional competition!
We had 23 students qualify for the TMSCA State competition in San Antonio!
Our Aerial Drone team placed 3rd at the district competition!
Our students’ talents shined at Pre-UIL for choir and at the middle school debate competition!
We get to cap off this fabulous month by celebrating all the cultures that make Sudie great at this Saturday's Around the World the Sudie Way! We hope everyone is able to join us at this wonderful event!
Thank you for your support of your student and Sudie!
Join us for our March session of Coffee with the Principal! Friday, March 6th at 9:00a, Principal Brokaw will be updating you on all things Sudie. We hope to see you there for this informative and engaging session! Join the zoom linked HERE!
🗳️ Dallas ISD Votes on May 2! 🗳️
Dallas ISD's Board of Trustees voted unanimously on February 12th to send a new $6.2 billion bond proposal to voters. Voters residing in DISD will have the opportunity to vote May 2 (early voting April 20-28) on the 3 propositions seen in the graphic above.
A bond of this size is transformational and YOUR VOTE MATTERS! Stay informed and engaged - mark your calendar to VOTE 5/2 and view more information here:
Replacement pouches will be distributed within 1–2 school days after payment is received.
Please note: Students must have a Yondr pouch in order to bring a personal device on campus. If a student does not have a Yondr pouch, their device must be left at home until a replacement pouch has been purchased and issued. To avoid disruptions to your student's day, we strongly encourage families to complete the replacement process as soon as possible.
