Welcome back from what I hope was a wonderful Spring Break! We’ve enjoyed welcoming our students back and supporting a safe school environment during our Spring Say Something week! Shoutout to Mrs. Bruant and our SAVE Promise club leaders for working to make this week a success!
This weekend is sure to be a super one as our students have multiple opportunities to let their talents and gifts shine! We are all excited about the Sudie vs. Travis soccer game, and I can’t wait to see our Lions leave it all out on the field and bring victory back to campus! Then on Sunday, we get to be amazed at all our students can do at the Talent Show!
As a schedule update, we now have Monday, April 6th and Monday, May 4th off as we no longer have to make up any inclement weather days.

Sudie Cheer is selling STAAR-bursts from March 23rd through April 3rd.
Send your favorite lion a little encouragement during testing season!
Each "STAAR-Burst" will have a good luck STAAR Gram message and some good luck treats. Sign your name or send from "Your Secret STAAR Supporter!"
$10.00 for TWO good-luck treats. One will be delivered before the April 8th Reading STAAR Test and one will be delivered before the April 22nd Math STAAR test.
SUDIE TAG THEATRE CO. presents its Spring Musical: The Lightning Thief Theatre For Young Audiences Edition
When Percy discovers he is the demigod son of Poseidon and is accused of stealing Zeus's lightning bolt, he embarks on a cross-country quest with Annabeth and Grover to clear his name and stop a war of the gods. From Camp Half-Blood training to showdowns with Medusa and Ares, the musical blends mythical monsters, scrappy stagecraft, and heartfelt storytelling. It celebrates kids who learn differently, the power of friendship, and finding your place when the world feels chaotic.

📣 2026-27 Middle School Cheer Gold Squad Try Outs 📣
Tryouts for the GOLD Squad will be held on April 27th and are open to Sudie students entering grades 6th – 8th in the Fall of 2026.
SUDIE CHEER TRYOUT INFORMATION
Clinic: April 20, after school until 6 p.m.
Tryouts: April 27 at 4:30 p.m.
Tryouts will be required to be considered for the GOLD squad.
Students who do NOT make the GOLD squad can participate in the Middle School SPIRIT Squad
Tryouts are not required for Sudie students entering grades 4th – 5th in the Fall of 2026, as they will automatically be placed on the Elementary GREEN Squad.
Please note that anyone interested in being considered for any Sudie Cheer Team (whether or not tryouts are required) during the 2026-2027 school year MUST complete this INTEREST FORM.

🏆 Save The Date - Arts Guilds Awards Banquet 🏅
Please Save the Date for the Sudie TAG Arts Guild Awards Banquet on Friday, April 24, 2025, at 6pm. Location TBD: We will be at a new location this year.
Awards focus on middle school achievements in the Arts, with a few nods to Elementary.
Modern Band, Orchestra, Visual Arts, Choir, & Theater
Honorees will be notified on March 23rd, and tickets will be available on April 1st.
