Happy April Fools! We certainly have not been joking around at Sudie over this past week! We were all so proud of our soccer teams on Friday at the Sudie vs. Travis soccer friendly! Our girls' team brought home the win, and our boys' team fought valiantly. Thanks to the hard work of Mrs. Bell and the talent show committee, we capped off our weekend with our students' talents shining on the stage at TJ! These events were a great reminder of what makes every day a super day at Sudie, and that is the investment of our staff and community, and the immense talent that every student at our school possesses!
We are so excited to welcome our newest Sudie Lions this evening at our Acceptance Night! Ms. Carballos and Ms. Diaz have been working hard to create an exceptional evening that celebrates these students' accomplishments and welcomes them into the pride!
Next week, we begin STAAR testing! Students and teachers have been working hard this whole year to ensure we are all prepared to achieve at the highest levels and show everyone that we are Sudie and we are #1! Below are a few reminders for STAAR testing:
-Set Students Up for Success: Please ensure that your student gets a good night's rest on Tuesday evening, that they charge their laptop that night, and bring their charger and laptop with them to school on Wednesday, and that they have a breakfast that fuels them up so that they can do their best!
-Middle School students will be testing in 1st period, and Elementary in homeroom: Students with small group will be in the library.
-For each STAAR testing week (the next 3 weeks), Friday will be an A day for middle school to ensure we are maximizing instructional time.
We appreciate your support in helping your student strive for masters on each of their STAAR exams! I know that our students will continue to shine throughout these next few weeks, as it will be super STAAR days at Sudie!

Student registration for the 2026-2027 school year opens on Wednesday, April 1st.
Every student enrolled in Dallas ISD must complete an annual registration. All NEW and RETURNING students need to enroll and register at choosedallasisd.schoolmint.com

Sudie Cheer is selling STAAR-bursts from March 23rd through April 3rd.
Send your favorite lion a little encouragement during testing season!
Each "STAAR-Burst" will have a good luck STAAR Gram message and some good luck treats. Sign your name or send from "Your Secret STAAR Supporter!"
$10.00 for TWO good-luck treats. One will be delivered before the April 8th Reading STAAR Test and one will be delivered before the April 22nd Math STAAR test.
