I hope everyone had a chance this past weekend to see The Lightning Thief! I was so impressed with the talent of our student actors, stage directors and theatre tech students! Special Sudie shoutout to Mrs. Bell and Ms. Goldapp for their fabulous job directing and to Mr. Quadri for creating and sustaining an elite theatre program at Sudie TAG!
Over these past two weeks, our students have shown out on their STAAR tests! We are so proud of their preparation and effort as they conquer these assessments! Next week we will finish our STAAR testing by having all students test for their Math STAAR! Thank you to Sudie Cheer for cheering up our testing staff, and thank you to the PTA for supporting students with STAAR snacks!
This weekend, we have the Sudiepalooza, where we will get to see our choir, modern band, and art students shine! Saturday, we will have our 7th and 8th-grade Spring dance!
Finally, next week we will celebrate Administrative Staff Support Week. Ms. Diaz, Ms. Carballos and Mrs. Velez do so much to keep every day a Super Day at Sudie! Our school would not shine without their work ethic, belief in our mission and vision, support of our students and customer service. I am so honored to have the best office staff in Dallas ISD and we are all looking forward to celebrating them next week! On Tuesday, April 21st, we will also celebrate Bus Driver Appreciation Day! We are thankful for how our Bus Drivers greet every student with a smile and build relationships with our students!

Congratulations to the Fuzzy Boba Penguins, who came in 4th place at the Destination Imagination State Competitionand are heading to Globals in Kansas City in May.
