This past Friday was surely a super day at Sudie with our 8th-grade field trip to SMU and then Sudie Palooza! On Saturday, our students excelled at competitions all throughout the district, with our Art students earning gold and platinum at the VASE competition, modern band students shining on stage, Elementary cheer earning a Superior rating, 5th grade debate sparring off with other campuses and ESports taking 1st place in Mario Kart! I also want to give a special Sudie shoutout to the 7th-grade families who planned and helped facilitate our 7th and 8th-grade Spring dance!
Thank you also to our families and PTA, who have helped us celebrate our Office Staff and Bus Drivers this week! I also want to express my gratitude for every family's support of our students and staff during this STAAR testing season. You are a big reason why testing has gone so well, and our students have felt confident showing all they know on these exams.
I hope everyone is planning to join us this Saturday evening at our Sudie Auction, put on by our phenomenal PTO! It is sure to be a great evening filled with community and fun! Next week, we get to honor our 8th-grade class at High School Signing Day on Wednesday, followed by our schoolwide field trip to the Angelika on Thursday and the 6th and 7th-grade capstones on Friday! Spring continues to be a super time at Sudie!

This is a fantastic opportunity to support our young artists and witness their incredible talent firsthand. We encourage families to join us for this special evening. Nominees will be honored for Reflections, Visual Arts, Modern Band, Choir, Orchestra, and Theater.
Everyone must reserve a ticket for our headcount at the venue. All honorees must be accompanied by 1 adult--this is not a drop-off event! If someone else is taking your honoree, have them reserve the ticket.
Doors will open by 6:00PM and the ceremony will begin around 6:30PM. Come early to grab food, peruse the silent auction, and enjoy the art gallery.

We are excited to announce that on Wednesday, April 29th, all 8th-grade students will walk the Sudie stage proudly declaring where they will attend high school!
Each 8th-grade student will receive two tickets on Thursday, April 23rd.
LAST Free Dress Friday will be Friday, May 8th. We will not sell the $2 free dress passes after Friday, May 8th.
NOTE: Students who purchased their $20 free dress season pass will still be able to use it after the deadline.
