On behalf of the Sudie PTA, welcome back! Be on the lookout for our weekly Enews, which comes out on Wednesdays when school is in session and has important dates, sign-ups, and more.
It was so wonderful getting to see everyone during our Back to School night yesterday! We appreciate everyone’s excitement about the year and the work that has taken place over the summer. We can assure you that we will be ready to welcome your student back to school on Tuesday morning!
As we prepare to start the year, below are a couple reminders to set your student up for success for the year:
Students will be provided with their Yondr pouches for their personal communication devices during their first class of the day on Tuesday.
Districtwide, all students PK-12 will be required to wear their DISD ID badge every school day. Students will receive their new badge and lanyard during the first two weeks of school.
Beginning of year i-Ready testing will be taking place for all grades during the second week of school, August 17th-21st.
We will have clear backpacks for students on the first day of school. Students are also welcome to use their own mesh or clear backpack.

8th-grade students, please join us on the first day of school (8/11) in the gym after carpool or bus drop-off to kick off your last year at Sudie with friends, fun, and food!
Parents, while this event is only for students, the volunteers will do their best to take lots of pictures.
⭐ Sankofa Decor Party Postponed 💫
Due to our summer bond construction work, we need to postpone the Sankofa decor party to a later date in August or September. More information will be shared soon.
