Over this past week our fantastic PTA has kicked off their annual North Texas Giving Day fundraiser, Lion Pride! Supporting our PTA and showing your Lion Pridehelps us support every student, family and staff member at Sudie! Our PTA helps us spread the word about why everyday is a super day at Sudie and welcomes every family into our Lion Pride. They host amazing events like Around the World the Sudie Way, TAG Talks, Grandfriends day and help support Sudie clubs and activities. PTA also makes it possible for every Lion to attend enrichment and capstone field trips which deepens their learning and expands their horizon. We are grateful for the support of Sudie PTA everyday and would be honored if your family would help them reach their North Texas Giving Day goal of 100% participation by every family and a total raised of $100,000.
This week we have a couple of opportunities to celebrate how our students use their talents to be gifted leaders. Throughout the week students running for House Council offices have spoken to the rest of our student body about their hopes and intentions for their leadership this school year. Finally on Thursday evening we welcome in our new Sudie Honors Society students at their induction ceremony. I can’t wait to see all that SHS and House Council accomplish this year!
I hope your family has a wonderful labor day weekend! Next week we also celebrate Education Go Get It week! We invite all of our students to dress up but any student who would rather not participate is expected to be in their regular Sudie TAG uniform (excluding if they have the free dress pass on Fridays). Please join us in the auditorium for the first PTA meeting of the 26-27 school year! We will be highlighting Lions Pride, previewing upcoming programs and talking all things Sudie PTA for the new school year!
While parents are attending the PTA meeting, students are invited to join the Sudie Chess team in the cafeteria for Game Night! Be sure to bring cash or venmo as pizza and snacks are available to purchase while enjoying non-electronic games with other Sudie Lions.
🕺 Father Daughter Dance Tickets! 💃
All Sudie Girls are invited to grab their favorite Adult (Dad, Uncle, Granddad, etc.) to dance the night away at our inaugural Me and My Guy Dance! Any Sudie Dads attending may also bring daughters who are not current Sudie students.

Event times: TWO SESSIONS
Session 1 for 5th grade girls and below: 5:00-7:00 PM
Session 2 for 6th grade girls and up: 7:30-9:30 PM
Sudie Dads with a daughter in each bracket can choose one session or reach out to the organizers to plan.
Location: Meaders Hall at Cochran Chapel, 9027 Midway Rd
Ticket includes DJ dancing, dinner, snacks, and some activities.
This event benefits the current 8th-grade Class DC Trip.

🀄 Mahjong Social Fundraiser Winner 🎉
Congratulations to Shiann Weiss, the lucky winner of the Grand Raffle Prize from the Sudie Mahjong Social Fundraiser!
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Mahjong Social and to all those who purchased raffle tickets. Your generosity was truly overwhelming! Together, we raised more than $5,000; enough to fund nearly three student scholarships for the Washington, D.C., trip.
And a very special thank you to our incredible sponsors for supporting our students and helping make this fundraiser such a success!
Every student will receive a complimentary Loteria card on Friday, 11/6, and more will be available for purchase.
