We hope that everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Last week was filled with wonderful opportunities for us to celebrate our students' leadership through House Council elections and our Sudie Honors Society induction ceremony. This week we get to gather once again with our community to celebrate House Council inauguration on Thursday evening followed by our first General PTA meeting of the 2026-2027 school year and our DC parent meeting for 8th grade families. Please plan to join us as our Chess team will also be hosting a game night and selling concessions. It is sure to be a super evening at Sudie TAG!
This week we’ve gotten to celebrate Education Go Get it Week and encourage our Sudie Lions to continue using their talents and gifts to achieve their dreams!

YARD SIGN delivery commenced this week! Visit us on social media for some fun shots of Lion Pride Supporter yard signs across the Metroplex—from Oak Cliff and Preston Hollow to North Dallas and the M Streets, Sudie Lions are everywhere! Check out our donor appreciation graphic: $250 in donations gets you a yard sign, and contributions by relatives and friends can all count toward your family’s total!

HOUSE and GRADE LEVEL competitions are ON! House Coin Wars begin this week and include online donations as well as cash and coins collected at the school! You can find your House’s giving page under “Featured Campaigns” on the Sudie PTA Lion Pride 2026 site. We also need everyone’s help to reach our goal of having 100% participation by every Sudie family! We’re tracking participation by grade level—online donations through 9/17 are included to determine which grade wins extra recess for the highest level of participation…and ANY grade with at least 90% participation will earn a pizza party! View the current Grade Level Participation tracker here. 4th grade has a slight lead at 24% for now—let’s get all grades as close to 100% as we can! Any donation of any amount counts!
Please join us in the auditorium for the first PTA meeting of the 26-27 school year! We will be highlighting Lions Pride, previewing upcoming programs and talking all things Sudie PTA for the new school year!
While parents are attending the PTA meeting, students are invited to join the Sudie Chess team in the cafeteria for Game Night! Be sure to bring cash or venmo as pizza and snacks are available to purchase while enjoying non-electronic games with other Sudie Lions.

🕺 Father Daughter Dance Tickets! 💃
All Sudie Girls are invited to grab their favorite Adult (Dad, Uncle, Granddad, etc.) to dance the night away at our inaugural Me and My Guy Dance! Any Sudie Dads attending may also bring daughters who are not current Sudie students.
Event date: Saturday, September 12
Event times: TWO SESSIONS
Session 1 for 5th grade girls and below: 5:00-7:00 PM
Session 2 for 6th grade girls and up: 7:30-9:30 PM
Sudie Dads with a daughter in each bracket can choose one session or reach out to the organizers to plan.
Location: Meaders Hall at Cochran Chapel, 9027 Midway Rd
Ticket includes DJ dancing, dinner, snacks, and some activities.
This event benefits the current 8th-grade Class DC Trip.

We love our wonderful teachers and staff at Sudie! Please help us show our appreciation by volunteering to be a Secret Pal. Secret Pals are asked to drop a little gift ($15-$35) for their paired staff member during a designated week each month.
