HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL THIS WEEK!!
Come see these East High Students grapple with the troubles our own Sudie students face of being gifted in multiple areas and how to find the balance. Will these students learn that it all starts with openness and supportive friends, teachers, and family? Or do they "Stick to the Status Quo"?
High School Musical tickets are general admission tickets. Doors will open approximately 15 minutes before show time. All shows are at the Sudie Williams TAG Auditorium.
Check in at the door with ticket purchaser name. Ticket sales close 24 hours before each show start time. If not sold out, tickets will be available for purchase at the door. Performances are TONIGHT & Friday (Mar 21-22) @ 6:30pm.
Please spread the word to your area preschools, elementary schools, parent groups, Facebook, Instagram. We are still about 50 orders from our goal and this is for a great cause--DC for Class of 2025!!
Principal Ladipo will be discussing the upcoming school year. Join us to hear about changes to the 2024-2025 dress code, information regarding next year's school supplies and the latest updates on STAAR Testing. Use the link below to enter the zoom presentation.
Congratulations to Falguni Dand & Maki Hasegawa - our February Volunteers of the Month Although there were many committee members that made our first Sudie Cultural Day a great success, co-chairs Falguni & Maki set the vision and led the efforts to ensure that it was executed flawlessly.
The PTA thanks them for their time, energy and dedication to making our school such a great place by organizing events like this.

This is an in-person event. Printed materials and portions of the presentations will be recorded for later distribution.
Parents may come without their student, but students may not come without their parent.

Movie Night
Please mark your calendars and plan to spend some time with your Sudie community at Family Movie Night on April 26. Come for the friends, pizza, and concessions, and stay for The Mitchells v. The Machines.
This funny and heartwarming film is a favorite among kids and parents alike, and we can't wait to watch it with you and our incoming 4th grade families.
If you're interested in volunteering for this event, be on the lookout for a sign-up coming soon.
Get ‘em while they’re back in stock and before the incoming fourth grade families clear out the inventory!

Solar Eclipse Viewing Party
Sudie is hosting a Solar Eclipse viewing party! We are excited to watch the 2024 Solar Eclipse right in Sudie's backyard! We encourage all students to bring picnic blankets for a safe and fun experience!
Our kids (with our help and supervision) will hide pre-filled candy eggs in yards around DISD the evening of March 30 so they are ready for egg hunts on March 31. Here is how you can help:
Get the word out ASAP! Please share the flyers and link found in this newsletter via social media, text, e-mail, leaving in mailboxes, posting at daycares/preschools (with permission), Nextdoor, and any other way you can think of.
Bring plastic eggs filled with nut-free candy to the collection bin in the Sudie front office through March 27. If possible, please put the eggs in a bag with your child’s name on a piece of paper so they can get credit.
Be on the lookout for a sign-up to help deliver eggs on March 30.

8th Grade Events
Attention 8th grade parents and guardians!
It’s going to be a busy semester as we celebrate our kids’ time at Sudie coming to an end. Please review the graphic and mark your calendars accordingly.
Start planning for your kids to lose stuff before they actually do. Order labels to put on their most prized items so they don't end up in the sea of lost and found!
When you order from Mabel's Labels, Sudie earns 20% from each order!
Starting Monday, March 18th through Thursday, March 28th we are hosting powerful women in our community to present during Morning Meetings and Advisory to our students!
Whether your journey be entrepreneurship, college internships, overcoming hardships the list goes on, we want you to showcase it!
Presentations will be virtual and will be held during elementary morning meetings or middle school advisories (depending on your selection). Once you're signed up, an email will be sent with logistics and details regarding the event.
Every Friday (& only on Fridays) Free Dress day passes are sold outside the cafeteria and/or front foyer only in the morning. The passes are $2 each - CASH ONLY.
Students are only allowed to wear free dress on the Friday when their pass is purchased. No ripped jeans are allowed & please ensure all free dress is appropriate. All proceeds go to student enrichment activities!
