Fundraising
The PTA helps helps our school purchase technology, programs and materials that are not in their budget. Here are just a few highlights of things the PTA did this year:
PTA hosted the community building event, Trunk or Treat in October and also assisted with Career day and Field Day. PTA hosted Pop up celebrations for the students in Fall, Winter, Spring, and End of Year. PTA also hosted grade level end of year celebrations and a 7th/8th grade dance. PTA created a dedicated Activities fund for the first time last school year (2021-22). Through your generosity, Sudie Activities helped fund Chess Club with professional coaching for more than 80 kids. Registration and event fees for the National History Day Team to compete at State Sudie’s first middle school Spanish competition Gaming screens and equipment for Sudie’s first E-Sports and Game Club activities Registration and charters for the establishment of National Junior Honor Society, and, soon, a National Elementary Honor Society The kick off of Sudie’s first-ever Spirit Squad Activities year-round for the Garden Club Activities year-round for House Council Snacks and celebrations for Sudie’s many enriching activities, including TMSCA, Debate, Choir, and GEMUN PTA supported the Sports programs by funding the purchase of a shed for equipment and striping the soccer field at Sudie. The Sports program enabled hundreds of students to participate in sports this year. PTA showcased our amazing students in the Talent Show. PTA supported the students and staff by fulfilling Teacher Wish List Requests for items ranging from physics lab equipment and math books to airfare/hotel for teachers to attend training at the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, GA. PTA Celebrated the staff with luncheons and treats throughout the year and hosted special weeks to celebrate each category of staff member. PTA hosted Pop-up SWAG sales for students to purchase shirts and other items to proudly show off their Sudie identity. |
